Road deaths for 2004 up 43 to 379

There has been an increase in the number of people killed on the country's roads, according to end-of-year figures.

There has been an increase in the number of people killed on the country's roads, according to end-of-year figures.

379 people were killed in road traffic accidents in 2004, compared to 336 in 2003.

In addition to this, three people have already died in road accidents in the first 48 hours of 2005.
