Couple set on fire in North attack

A couple were doused in flammable liquid and set alight during an attack on their home last night, police in the North said today.

A couple were doused in flammable liquid and set alight during an attack on their home last night, police in the North said today.

The intruders also set fire to the house in Foley Road, Armagh City, during the incident which happened at around 9pm.

The victims, a 21-year-old woman and a man aged 33, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The woman was said to be in a critical condition.

Police said they were following a definite line of inquiry but have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
