Portsmouth striker Kanu has signed a new one-year deal with the FA Cup winners.

Portsmouth striker Kanu has signed a new one-year deal with the FA Cup winners.

The 32-year-old Nigerian had been linked with a move away from Fratton Park but has put pen to paper on the contract, which will trigger the offer of another year if he plays a set number of games.

Kanu, who scored the winner against Cardiff at Wembley in May, told www.portsmouthfc.co.uk: “I love it here and I want to be part of the team so I’m happy to have signed my new contract.”
