Ninety-four per cent of young Irish farmers believe that consumers in Ireland are being ripped off, according to a survey conducted by Macra na Feirme.

Ninety-four per cent of young Irish farmers believe that consumers in Ireland are being ripped off, according to a survey conducted by Macra na Feirme.

The survey found that 74% of young farmers were dissatisfied with the current Government's performance, but 84% still intended to vote in next year's local elections.

82% of respondents also believed that depression and stress were major problems in rural areas and that not enough was being done to address the matter.
