Kieron Dyer made only his eighth Barclays Premier League start in three years as West Ham manager Avram Grant rang the changes following last week’s 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Kieron Dyer made only his eighth Barclays Premier League start in three years as West Ham manager Avram Grant rang the changes following last week’s 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Grant switched to a 4-4-2 formation with Mexican winger Pablo Barrera and French striker Frederic Piquionne both making their first starts for the club.

Julien Faubert switched to right-back and Danny Gabbidon partnered Matthew Upson in the centre of defence against a Bolton side who were unchanged from their goalless draw at Fulham.
