Shue recalls Back to Future filming 'blur'

Actress Elisabeth Shue can barely remember making hit movie sequels Back To The Future Part II and III - because they were shot back-to- back just six months after her brother's tragic death.

Actress Elisabeth Shue can barely remember making hit movie sequels Back To The Future Part II and III - because they were shot back-to- back just six months after her brother's tragic death.

The 41-year-old joined her brothers on holiday in France to celebrate her breakthrough part in 1988's Cocktail, but her 27-year-old sibling died in front of her after impaling himself on a tree branch.

And Shue says she has few memories of her part as Jennifer Parker/McFly in the popular 1980s sci-fi comedies, because she was still mourning his death.

She says: "The films were a blur. I was still in shock. His death stripped away the dishonesty in my life."
