An inquiry will get underway this morning into a farm accident in which a man was killed and another seriously injured in County Kilkenny.

An inquiry will get underway this morning into a farm accident in which a man was killed and another seriously injured in County Kilkenny.

The incident happened yesterday evening on a farm in Ballycallan when the two men were using a loader.

The men were father and son.

The father, who died, is thought to have been in his sixties.

The son was taken to Waterford University Hospital for treatment of a broken leg.

The Health and Safety Authority is due to visit the scene today to carry out an investigation.
