The Minister for Justice’s Immigration Bill is being criticised for failing to help people seeking asylum in Ireland.

The Minister for Justice’s Immigration Bill is being criticised for failing to help people seeking asylum in Ireland.

Dublin Green MEP, Patricia McKenna, says proposed new laws will restrict genuine cases under the guise of anti-terrorism measures.

She says the legislation does not address the reasons why asylum seekers resort to approaching human traffickers for help.
