Gardaí have warned of major delays on the M50 South motorway at Junction 6 Blanchardstown due to a serious collision.

Gardaí have warned of major delays on the M50 South motorway at Junction 6 Blanchardstown due to a serious collision.

Traffic is currently being diverted up the Junction 6 slip road to rejoin the M50 after Junction 6.

UPDATE (6.30pm): All lanes are now open.

UPDATE (6.10pm): Lane 2 has now been opened.

UPDATE (5.45pm): Garda Forensic collision investigators have finished their examination of the scene.

The area is currently been cleaned and is expected to open shortly.

UPDATE (4.49pm): Lane 3 on the M50 South at Junction 6 has been opened to allow traffic through.

The other two lanes will remain closed while the forensic examination is ongoing.
