Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Gerry Adams shake hands on the campaign trail
The Taoiseach and the Sinn Féin leader have met and shaken hands on the campaign trail in Sligo.
But it took Enda Kenny and Gerry Adams to be at two locations for the meeting to happen.
The Sinn Féin President was departing the Sligo Park hotel this morning, when the Taoiseach was due to arrive.

Gerry Adams believes Enda Kenny was intentionally trying to avoid him: “I can see the Taoiseach over there in the hedge, look there is his wee head popping up.”
The Taoiseach's car sped past the Sinn Féin battle bus and Enda Kenny headed straight for the Fine Gael candidates.
The Taoiseach made no mention of Gerry Adams, instead focussing on getting John Perry, Tony McLoughlin and Gerry Reynolds to end their bitter rivalry in the constituency and pose together for photographs.

But a short time later at the Ocean FM studios, the two met and shook hands
The Taoiseach called Gerry Adams over, saying in Irish that he wouldn't stand in front of the Sinn Féin battle bus
