Gardai have named the woman who was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Waterford City last night.

Gardai have named the woman who was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Waterford City last night.

The victim. 21-year-old Eleanor Cullinane from Portlaw in Waterford, was travelling in a car that was hit by another car while stopped at a set of traffic lights.

The driver of the car that Ms Cullinane was in was seriously injured in the crash.

The two people who were travelling in the vehicle that caused the collision fled the scene on foot.
