Restrictions remain in place around a farm in the North, where a dead cow was found with possible signs of foot and mouth disease earlier this week.

A five-mile exclusion zone was set-up around the land while tests are carried out on samples taken from the carcass.

The results will not be known until Monday and until then restrictions will be maintained.

The North’s Agriculture Minister, Brid Rodgers, says that this measure is just a precaution.
