Last weekend's gun attack on two gardaí in Limerick is set to top the agenda at a meeting of the Garda Representative Association today.

A number of shots were fired at the armed officers while they were sitting in an unmarked patrol car in the Southill area of the city on Sunday.

One of the shots hit the car, but neither officer was injured.

Gardaí investigating the incident have already seized four firearms, ammunition and cannabis during a massive raid in the O'Malley Park area.

Reports this morning say one of the guns seized may have been used in Sunday's shooting.
