Powerful centre James Downey will take his place in the Connacht squad for this Saturday's home tie against The Borders, following a successful recovery from a back operation, at The Sportsground.

Powerful centre James Downey will take his place in the Connacht squad for this Saturday's home tie against The Borders, following a successful recovery from a back operation, at The Sportsground.

It will be his first appearance of the season and Connacht could do with his special brand of direct penetration to pierce a Borders outfit that has shown a disctinct improvement from last season.
