McGinley murder case: 14 remain in custody

A total of 14 people are still being held in several garda stations in the north-west in connection with the death of 26-year-old Hughie McGinley.

A total of 14 people are still being held in several garda stations in the north-west in connection with the death of 26-year-old Hughie McGinley.

Eight men and six women were arrested in Sligo town yesterday morning, as part of investigations into Mr McGinley's murder, which took place six weeks ago.

The father-of-one died after he was shot in the head on April 28.

The people arrested can be detained until Saturday morning under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
