Bodywhys: Eating disorders no longer confined to teenagers

A leading support group for sufferers of eating disorders says the disease is "no longer a teenage issue".

Bodywhys latest report reveals that the disorder mostly affects people aged between 25 and 35.

Women outnumber men by nine to one, with one in five developing the disease over the last six months and one in four suffering for more than a decade.

The study also reveals that anorexia is the most common eating disorder, followed by binge eating.

A small number of children under the age of ten are affected while 5% of those are over 56.
