Harris calls it off with '50 Shades' star

Rita Ora and Calvin Harris have split up.

The 29-year-old DJ and 'How We Do' hitmaker had been dating for nine months when Calvin decided to call time on his relationship with the singer-turned-actress last month because of busy work schedules.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Rita and Calvin have split.

"It's been tough for both of them but it's been even harder for them to spend time together recently.

"He's busy DJing and she's working on her new album and shooting 50 Shades Of Grey."

Rita, 23, flew to Vancouver in Canada on Tuesday to start shooting scenes for the film adaptation of the book by E.L. James, in which she plays Mia, Christian Grey's sister.

Although her and Calvin's representatives have declined to comment on their relationship ending, the blonde star has already unfollowed the DJ on her Instagram account.

As well as their busy schedules, it is thought Calvin wasn't keen on fame as much as his girlfriend and it contributed to their split.

The source added: "Calvin is more private when it comes to fame than Rita, which also played a part. He'd be happy to meet someone who has nothing to do with the industry."

Calvin and Rita first got together after he flew her to Las Vegas on his private jet, where he has a residency and she said she was "lucky" to have found someone who understands her life in the public eye and who she has a lot in common with.

The pair spent the New Year together and there were rumours that she had moved into his mansion in Beverley Hills after being kicked out of her London flat for making too much noise.

But the relationship started to break down when they began arguing and Rita reportedly moved into a hotel.
