Turnout so far today in the Lisbon Treaty referendum is reported to be slow, with around 7% of voters having cast their ballots by lunchtime.

Turnout so far today in the Lisbon Treaty referendum is reported to be slow, with around 7% of voters having cast their ballots by lunchtime.

Presiding officers say turnout has been slower than it was at this time in last June's original referendum.

Polling stations around the country remain open until 10pm this evening.
