Gardaí seek witnesses to fatal assault in Carlow town
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal assault on an elderly man in Carlow town earlier this week.
Sixty-one-year-old local man Michael Murray was found dead off the Old Dublin Road yesterday morning.
Gardaí confirmed last night that he had died following an assault and said they were hoping to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area in the early hours of the morning.
