George Lucas says work on Star Wars going well

George Lucas says the post-production work on Star Wars Episode 2 has passed the half way point.

George Lucas says the post-production work on Star Wars Episode 2 has passed the half way point.

Industrial Light and Magic, the company responsible for all the special effects on Attack Of The Clones, has just completed its 1,000th shot.

Lucas says work on the film is going according to schedule.

"It's like a term paper," says Lucas.

"You study, you work, you do your research, and you keep putting off the actual writing until it's almost too late.

"What we've done is gotten half the term paper already written way early, so we have plenty of time to do rewrites and finish the project and have the opportunity to make changes and improve it. It's a great thing to be on schedule."

Star Wars Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones is released on May 16 next year.
