This afternoon’s meeting at Wolverhampton has been abandoned due to an unraceable track.
Extreme temperatures at Dunstall Park forced clerk of the course Fergus Cameron to call a 6.30am inspection and that check was not favourable.
He said: “We have abandoned. The temperature didn’t get much above minus 6C yesterday and it’s minus 11C now with freezing fog.
“We have basically got frozen moisture suspended in the track and although we have been working it, it is still freezing and the forecast for today is minus 5C with a likelihood of fog, so we have called it off.”
