There were two wins for Ulster sides in Division 3A of the Allianz Hurling League as Fermanagh and Donegal claimed victories, while Leinster neighbours Louth and Fingal played out an entertaining draw at Swords.
Second half goals from Barry Smith and Martin Beggan helped Fermanagh record a 2-11 to 1-10 win over Ulster neighbours Tyrone at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.
Tyrone led by 0-6 to 0-5 at the interval, but Fermanagh took control on the restart. The Ernesiders' two green flags came at vital stages, in a game where Tyrone failed to lie down with Kiefer Morgan netting their goal.
Gary Fox, Matthew Mulgrew and Damien Casey were also on target for the Red Hands.
There was a home success also for Donegal at O'Donnell Park in Letterkenny; with the hosts always in control in their 3-18 to 1-6 win over Monaghan.
Steven Boyle (2-2) netted two goals for Donegal, while Paddy Hannigan bagged the other goal. Lee Henderson was also in superb form for the eventual winners, with eight points.
Meanwhile, at Lawless Park in Swords, Fingal and Louth shared the spoils on a 0-15 to 1-12 scoreline.
The only goal of the game came in the opening 15 minutes from Gerard Smith. He netted from a pass from Nigel Stanley to give the visitors an early 1-1 to 0-2 lead.
Louth led by 1-7 to 0-6 at the interval, but found the going tough on the restart. Fingal tied the game at 0-14 to 1-11 with five minutes remaining, with Louth's Derek Horan dismissed at this stage.
Both sides were keen to take victory, but picked off a point apiece in the closing stages to finish on level terms.
