PSNI arrest two in arms seizure

Two men were arrested tonight when guns were seized by police in north Belfast.

Two men were arrested tonight when guns were seized by police in north Belfast.

Detectives and uniformed officers from the PSNI’s Crime Operations Department made the find when they stopped a taxi in the Crumlin Road .

They recovered a number of firearms, a quantity of ammunition and other items which were taken for examination .

A PSNI spokesman said the two male occupants of the taxi were arrested and questioned about the weapons.
