Report urges changes to disabled person's grant

A progress report from an inter-departmental working group has identified a range of areas where the Government can improve the lives of older people.

A progress report from an inter-departmental working group has identified a range of areas where the Government can improve the lives of older people.

These areas range from the provision of care to housing and lifelong learning.

Junior Ministry Ivor Callely said he hoped to announce changes to the disabled person’s grant as a result of the group’s work.

The grant enables improvements to be made to the homes of elderly people.
