Rich Beem became the shock winner of the United States PGA championship today - and did it by holding off a charging Tiger Woods.

World number one Woods birdied the last four holes for a 67 that matched the best round of the final day.

But Beem had taken control with an eagle at the 11th and a 50-foot birdie putt on the 16th.
