Rich Beem became the shock winner of the United States PGA championship today - and did it by holding off a charging Tiger Woods.
World number one Woods birdied the last four holes for a 67 that matched the best round of the final day.
But Beem had taken control with an eagle at the 11th and a 50-foot birdie putt on the 16th.
With the pressure intense he parred the short 17th and then, with a two-stroke lead, three-putted the last for the bogey that was good enough.
