Man injured in gang attack in Portadown

A man in his 20s suffered injuries to his eye and face after being attacked by a gang, police said today.

A man in his 20s suffered injuries to his eye and face after being attacked by a gang, police said today.

The incident happened at about 8.30pm last night when three men, one of whom was armed with a broken bottle, attacked the man in Bridge Street, Portadown.

He suffered serious injuries to his right eye as well as bruising to his face.

Police are examining CCTV footage and have urged any witnesses in the area to come forward and contact them.

Two of the men were described as being between 18-20 and wearing hooded tops.

There is no description for the third attacker.
