The Israeli Army has killed a Palestinian man in an attack in the West Bank town of Nablus, according to Palestinian security sources.

A tank on a hill fired five shells at a car in the town, completely destroying the vehicle and killing the driver.

The target of the attack appeared to be a senior member of the Islamic militant group Hamas, but it is not immediately clear if he was the person killed.
