Man held in connection with Dublin stabbing

A 22-year-old man is still being held in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin city in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A 22-year-old man is still being held in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin city in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A Lithuanian man in his late 20s was found outside a house in St Joseph's Villas and had been stabbed five times.

He died as he was being taken to hospital.

The suspect was arrested in Mullingar yesterday evening and was taken to Mountjoy Garda Station in Dublin.
