Gardaí have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with their investigation into a fatal stabbing in Co Offaly yesterday.

Gardaí have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with their investigation into a fatal stabbing in Co Offaly yesterday.

Thirty-year-old Polish national Grezegorz Guzik is believed to have taken his own life after attacking another Polish man in a domestic incident.

The other man suffered minor injuries to his face and hands.

Four people were in the house on Kilbride St in Tullamore at the time - the two men, a woman and a three-year-old boy.

Mr Guzik's family in Poland have been informed of his death.

A Garda technical team remains at the scene.
