The growth in house prices is slowing down with the latest house price index from permanent TSB and the ESRI showing growth of 8.1% in the first 10 months of the year.
In the same period last year, prices rose by 10.9%.
In October, house prices rose nationally by just 0.3% - the lowest increase for almost three years.
The slower growth rate is driven by a reduction in house prices outside Dublin, while prices in the capital remain robust.
