A dad in America offered a $3,000 reward to anyone who could deliver his daughter's boyfriend to him "dead or alive".

Domingos Jose Oliveira put up a dozen "wanted" posters of his 19-year-old daughter's partner - who is 14 years older than her and a registered sex offender, convicted of abusing 14-15-year-olds.

However, the Californian ended up being taken to the police station where he was questioned on solicitation of murder when the couple reported him.

The posters had featured a picture of the boyfriend with a message saying the money was offered to: "anyone who can deliver his body dead or alive to us".
