Gardaí in Cork have seized €80,000 worth of cannabis following two separate operations in the city.

Gardaí in Cork have seized €80,000 worth of cannabis following two separate operations in the city.

Four kilos of the drug was uncovered when a car was stopped on the Blarney Road while another four kilos was seized on the Orchard Road.

Four men - all in their 20s - have been arrested.

They are being questioned at Gurranabraher garda station and the Bridewell under drug trafficking legislation.

They can be held for up to seven days.
