Two women have been killed on Irish roads today in separate accidents.

Two women have been killed on Irish roads today in separate accidents.

An 18-year-old woman was killed in a crash in Co Kildare this morning. The two-car collision happened at Clonuff, Broadford at 2am.

Three others were taken to hospital in Blanchardstown where their condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

The deceased woman is a non-national. She will not be named until relatives in her home country have been notified.

Another woman in her 20s died following an accident between a lorry and a car in Co Westmeath.

The accident happened at Macetown on the Delvin to Mullingar road, in Co Westmeath.

The driver of the car received fatal injuries and was taken to Mullingar General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
