Cork City manager Damien Richardson has been ordered to rest for a week by doctors after being admitted to hospital with a lung problem.

The Cork City manager went to hospital earlier this afternoon complaining of chest pains which forced him to miss this evening’s Cork game against Bray Wanderers at Turner’s Cross.

Doctors will keep Richardson in hospital overnight for observation and have ordered him to take the next seven days off.

Cork face Slavia Prague in the UEFA Cup next week.
