Lifestyle queen Martha Stewart is reportedly ready to surrender to prison authorities next week to start her jail time.
The domestic diva has been given the option by New York Judge Miriam Cedarbaum to put off her five-month prison sentence while appealing the verdict in her insider-trading case.
Stewart was sentenced to five months in jail and five months confined to her home after being found guilty of lying about the sale of shares she owned last week.
A source tells American newspaper New York Daily News: "She wants to put this ordeal behind her. She thinks that it's in the best interest of her company."
Stewart's lawyers are said to be encouraging her to wait for a decision on the appeal - which could take nine months.
She told American TV host Larry King on July 19: "We had a good appeal."
However, there's pressure for her to serve her sentence, she explains: "Business, Wall Street, advertising. They would like to see finality. They would like to see an end to all of this."
A member of Stewart's legal team has denied she plans on turning herself in.
The source says: "She still wants to clear her name."
