Man shot three times in Strabane ‘punishment attack’

A 30-year-old man is recovering in hospital following a paramilitary-style punishment shooting in Strabane, Co Tyrone.

A 30-year-old man is recovering in hospital following a paramilitary-style punishment shooting in Strabane, Co Tyrone.

The man was shot in both legs and one shoulder in an alleyway in the Springhill Park area at around 10pm.

The attack was carried out by six men wearing balaclavas, two of whom fled in a white van while the others left on foot.

The PSNI is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
