Dunne: Pickering is foolish to dismiss me

Boxer Bernard Dunne says reports that Esham Pickering has dismissed the Dubliner's chances are foolish, but admits he has a big challenge to overcome.

Boxer Bernard Dunne says reports that Esham Pickering has dismissed the Dubliner's chances are foolish, but admits he has a big challenge to overcome.

The two will square off for the vacant European super bantamweight title at the Point Depot, Dublin on November 11.

"We'll see what Esham says after the fight," he said. "If he's dismissed me off hand, he's making a big, big mistake.

"Maybe it's just a little bit of talk. I wouldn't dismiss Eashman unless I beat him. But I wouldn't be dismissing his style, he's a fantastic fighter.

"He's a good boxer, a good puncher, a good all round fighter. I just think I'm better than him."
