Man stabbed in Wexford attack

A man has been stabbed in an overnight attack in Co Wexford.

A man has been stabbed in an overnight attack in Co Wexford.

The man, in his early twenties, was found in the Cornmarket area of Wexford town.

According to gardai, he suffered serious stab wounds to the neck.

It is understood he was taken to Wexford Regional Hospital where he has been

treated for his injuries.

Gardai arrested a man in his late thirties this morning in connection with the attack.

He is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
