Hoops pair considering futures

Artur Boruc and Massimo Donati have both admitted their futures may lie away from Celtic next season.

Artur Boruc and Massimo Donati have both admitted their futures may lie away from Celtic next season.

However, goalkeeper Boruc has received no offers to move and Donati insists he would have to think long and hard about leaving the club.

Boruc, who is preparing for Poland’s Euro 2008 campaign, recently signed an extended contract at Parkhead, but that failed to stop him being linked with AC Milan.

He said: “According to the press, I’ve already signed for AC Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea – but I’m still in Glasgow.

“I’m still a Celtic player and know nothing about any offers. However, as I’ve said in the past, should an offer arrive from one of the top clubs, I could try it.”

Former Milan midfielder Donati has been linked with a move to Sampdoria after playing a peripheral role in Celtic’s successful title run-in.

“A return to Sampdoria may appeal,” he said. “They have been doing well in the last year. But I must say the people in Glasgow have been good to me.

“Certainly, I will return to Italy sooner or later but I must see if it is best to do it quickly or wait.”
