Farmers in Co Leitrim have mounted a blockade at a Teagasc facility in Ballinamore in protest at the planned closure of the facility.
Around 50 farmers are taking part in the demonstration.
Irish Farmers Association president John Dillon claimed the closure of the facility would effectively end all research on wet land in Co Leitrim.
He also said the protestors would not budge until the closure decision had been reversed.
