Pensioner dies in Co Dublin traffic accident

A 78-year-old pedestrian has been killed in Monkstown in Co. Dublin.

A 78-year-old pedestrian has been killed in Monkstown in Co. Dublin.

The man was struck by a car at the roundabout at the junction of Abbey Road and Stradbrook Road just after 5pm yesterday evening.

He was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital with serious injuries.

Last night, at 11.40pm, he lost his fight for life.

Gardaí from Kill-O-The-Grange Garda Station are investigating.
