A relative of Margaret 'Peggy' Mangan has urged the public to look in "laneways, sheds, outhouses" for the elderly Dublin woman, who has been missing since Tuesday morning.
Gardaí today renewed their appeal for 65-year-old Peggy, who has Alzheimer's, left her house in Terenure to walk her dog.
Gardaí want any person who may have engaged with or spoken to Peggy at Charlestown Shopping Centre or the Lansborough area of Finglas in north Dublin between 8.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday evening to contact Terenure Gardaí.
Kian Lynch, one of Peggy's relations, is helping to co-ordinate the search.
“The important thing is to look in your own local area,” he said. “Laneways, sheds, outhouses.
“She’s not going to come up necessarily knocking on the door, but she will be seeking rest, and she will be seeking shelter - so she’s going to look for something convenient.
“The focus, in daylight hours, has to be on that”
