Gardaí are searching a field just outside Wexford town today as part of their investigation into the disappearance of Fiona Sinnott eight years ago.

The 19-year-old hasn't been seen since leaving a pub in Broadway in February 1998.

Late last year, six people were arrested and questioned for a number of days in connection with the disappearance, but all were later released without charge.

Today's dig is focusing on a small area of a field near the village of Killinick and could last for a number of days.
