Australia have won this year’s International Rules series, despite losing the second test against Ireland by three points in Melbourne today.

Ireland won today’s match 48-45, but it was not enough to overturn the 10-point aggregate lead built up by the Aussies in the first test in Perth last Friday.

Ireland had led comfortably for most of the game and looked to be heading for a famous victory until an Australian comeback in the fourth quarter.
