A 32-year-old man has appeared in court today charged in connection with a major drugs seizure in Dublin.
Garry Anderson of Cherryorchard Avenue, in Ballyfermot was granted bail and will appear in court again later this month.
Gardaí from Ballyfermot Drugs unit discovered cannabis resin with an estimated €570,000 when they searched a house in Cherryorchard yesterday.
They arrested Garry Anderson (aged 32) at the scene and brought him to Ballyfermot Garda Station where he was charged under Section 3 and 5 of the Mis-Use of Drugs Act.
He appeared before Dublin District Court at the Bridewell this morning.
Judge Patrick Clyne granted bail on the condition that a bond of €3,000 was lodged with the court, that Mr Anderson surrenders his travel identification documents and that he sign on three times a week at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
Judge Clyne also awarded Mr Anderson legal aid as the court heard he was unemployed and in receipt of social welfare.
He is due before court again on April 30.
