Anthony Daly is due to be ratified as Clare hurling boss for a second term at the county board's meeting next Tuesday.
Despite a hammering by Waterford in the opening round of the Munster championship, Daly guided Clare through the qualifiers and to a quarter-final meeting with then champions Kilkenny, which went to a replay. However, the Cats progressed to the semi-finals.
However, the Clarecastle club man may have to plan without the services of Banner stalwarts Jamesie O’Connor, Olly Baker and Brian Lohan, who are expected to retire.
