Artemio Murakami of the Philippines won the Asian Tour’s Iskandar Johor Open on Sunday after carding a three-under-par 68 in the final round at the Royal Johor Country Club.
Murakami completed the tournament with a five-under 279 total while one stroke behind compatriot Tony Lascuna and Scot Simon Yates finished tied for second after rounds of 70 and 67 respectively.
Gaurav Ghei of India had started the day on top of the leaderboard with a narrow one-shot advantage but four bogeys and just three birdies meant he finished one over for the day and fourth overall with a three-under 281 total.
He was joined by Sung Mao-chang who had carded a two-under 69.
American Jason Knutzon, who began on Sunday in second place, had a disappointing final round as he shot a three-over 74 to finish in eighth place.
