Yesterday, the ultra-impressive Caribbean Princess arrived into Dublin Port and YouTuber David Hobbs captured the beast as it dominated the Dublin skyline.
The Caribbean Princess has 17 decks, is 290m in length and can carry around 4,200 passengers and crew.
To add to that earlier today, the equally huge MS Queen Victoria arrived into Cork to join the Lusitania commemoration.
The MS Queen Victoria boasts 16 decks and is also longer than the Caribbean Princess at 294m. It weighs in at an imposing 90,000 tonnes and can accommodate about 2,900 passengers and crew.
The Irish Examiner put together a wonderful timelapse of the cruise ship’s arrival into Cork and has been carrying a live blog on the event all day.
