McCann wins Impac award

Irish writer Colum McCann has won the prestigious International Impac Dublin literary award for his novel 'Let the Great World Spin'.

Irish writer Colum McCann has won the prestigious International Impac Dublin literary award for his novel 'Let the Great World Spin'.

McCann was presented with the award, worth €100,000, last night.

The novel, the author's sixth, has become an international bestseller.

McCann is only the second Irish writer to receive the award.
