Police launched a manhunt today after a gunman shot three people dead and seriously injured a fourth.

Police launched a manhunt today after a gunman shot three people dead and seriously injured a fourth.

The shooting took place in an apartment in the northern Swiss town of Pratteln, near Basel, late last night.

Police named their suspect as a 46-year-old Turk, Mustafa Dilenc, the former boyfriend of the woman who was injured in the attack.

The three people who died were the woman’s 75-year-old mother and 15-year-old daughter and her current boyfriend, aged 51.

All the victims were Swiss nationals. Another woman who was in the apartment at the time was uninjured.

Police said Dilenc fled the scene in his Nissan sports car.
